SMAG & BEHAG, Grimstad and Kristiansand (from spring 2027)
In 2011, Hans Petter Klemmetsen, known across Norway as “Rockekokken,” opened the first Smag & Behag on Storgata in Grimstad. A second restaurant followed in 2020 in Kristiansand, set in the lovingly restored gymnasium of a former school built in 1899. Both restaurants focus on local sourcing, the best seasonal produce and small dishes for sharing, from which the kitchen also composes a daily five-course menu. Wine gets just as much attention: in the Falstaff Restaurant & Bistro Guide Nordics 2026, both restaurants received the top score of 20/20 for their wine lists. Smag & Behag Kristiansand also earned a Silver Star for “Best Italian Wine List” at the Star Wine List of the Year Norway 2025.
